    open garden datesSpring is upon us and it is open garden season!

    We have THREE friends of the River Nile who are running open gardens over the next few weeks with a portion of entry fee proceeds generously going towards the River Nile!

     

    Saturday 25th of October
    2.00pm – 5.00pm
    Susan Gribben 22 Illawarra Rd, Balwyn

    In this lovely spacious leafy garden the large collection of roses should be in full bloom.

    Stay and enjoy Devonshire tea.

    Admission is by a suggested donation of $5 to go towards the River Nile Learning Centre.

     

    Sunday 26th of October
    2.00pm – 5.00pm
    Marion Poynter 38 Brougham St, North Melbourne

    You are invited to come to view our backyard garden, a rural oasis which features both productive and decorative plants and livestock aplenty.

    Plants and homemade preserves from our own vegetables, herbs and fruits will be available for sale.

    Afternoon tea with home-made lemon drizzle cake will be served.

    Admission is by a suggested donation of $5 to go towards the River Nile Learning Centre.

     

    Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th of December
    10.00am – 4.00pm
    ‘Throssells Mill’: 345 Malmsbury-Daylesford Rd, Coomoora

    Patrice and John O’Shea are opening their historic house and garden for the first time.

    All proceeds will go to support the River Nile Learning Centre and its work.

    The 6 acres of garden and vineyard are an eclectic mix of special and rare plants in a garden raised from bare paddocks 20 years ago.

    There will be food, wine, refreshments and plants for sale.

    The property is midway between Daylesford and Glenlyon, a little over an hour from the Melbourne CBD.

    $10 entry fee
