On Tuesday Father Don and Judie were delighted to attend the presentation ceremony for Victoria’s Multicultural Awards for Excellence at Government House. Even more so when River Nile Learning Centre received the Award designated for an organisation for Excellence in Education. This was one of three awards in Victoria this year; the others were awarded to an individual teacher and one to a primary school.

We received the award from the Minister for Education and thank both the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and the Victorian Multicultural Commission for this recognition of our work.

We also want to thank all of the volunteers, staff, supporters, funding bodies and friends who have contributed to the program we deliver here and made it possible for us to receive this award. It is wonderful to consider the large number of people and organisations who have made contributions ranging from giving of their time to financing programs, to providing food to working in a classroom to donating resources. We literally could not do it without your support.
